Transfers Between Clinic Physicians

Patients assigned to or registered with a physician at our clinic cannot transfer to another physician within the clinic. This includes new patients who have been booked for an initial or intake appointment, even if they have not yet attended. This policy applies even when another clinic physician is accepting new patients.

This policy supports continuity of care and helps us manage physician availability for patients who do not yet have a family doctor.

If you have concerns about your care, we encourage you to discuss them with your current physician or contact clinic management for assistance. Being uncomfortable discussing concerns with your physician does not permit a transfer to another physician within the clinic.

If the patient–physician relationship has irretrievably broken down and the patient has been discharged from their physician’s practice, an internal transfer will not be permitted. Patients in this situation are encouraged to seek a new primary care provider outside the clinic.

This policy does not prevent patients from seeking a family physician at another practice.
